While a status conversation on the joys or evils of Brussels sprouts is going on, here's a whole bunch of recipes. Many aren't particularly weight-loss friendly, but they can be altered. Some are just right. http://www.purewow.com/food/Best-Brussels-Sprouts-Recipes
goplay94123 575 Posted October 3, 2016 I miss Brussels Sprouts so much - it has turned out to be the one veggie that still causes me issues - i can eat cabbage no problem - but give me 1 Brussels sprout and i get the foams - even 6 months out! I am going to try again at month 9. My nut said that that can sometimes happen - where you have an intolerance but it may go away - I hope so!

My kids HATE the way they smell when I cook em I usually either use fresh ones and cut them in halves or really small frozen ones. Sprinkle a little olive oil, Kosher salt and pepper and roast them for 30-45 minutes. Delish!!

Brussels sprouts, green Beans and broccoli are all regularly featured in the roasting rotation at our house. The kids LOVE veggies this way (not so much the Brussels sprouts). They even refer to the green Beans as "green bean french fries". We prepare them pretty much exactly as to describe.
WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted October 4, 2016 @ -- Cauliflower, one of my favorites, also likes to be roasted. Carrots and white turnips, too. If you roast a mixed up bunch of vegetables, you'll have a festive-looking dish on the table.
carlaw 82 Posted October 4, 2016 So glad I don't get the foamies! I do get very full feeling and feel like I need to burp up what I have eaten but nothing ever comes back. Thank God. This feeling usely last about 20 to 30 minutes if I overdo it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

If you like curry, I will sprinkle some curry powder on my cauliflower before roasting and it's awesome! Haven't tried turnips or carrots. Willing to try any roasted vegetable though! Nerdgrl 61 Posted October 5, 2016 I'm 5 days post-op and my head thinks that Brussels sprouts sound SO GOOD!! (although my stomach is completely uninterested). Can't wait to (hopefully) be able to eat them again in a few months!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
