gemigirl 134 Posted October 3, 2016 I'm still in some pain from my incisions and I had surgery 9/19. It is not unusual at all. I can't imagine going back to work three days after, is there a way you can take more time off? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

BooBee66 104 Posted October 3, 2016 My surgery was 9/26 originally planned on returning to work today but Actually in too much pain ! Is anyone else experiencing significant pain or soreness,? Or is it just me Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
Nerdgrl 61 Posted October 3, 2016 I am in my 4th day post-op from the sleeve and also have quite a bit of pain in my larger incision. I think that's not uncommon, but if it feels warm, becomes red, or you get a fever you should seek medical attention ASAP. blizair09 3,250 Posted October 3, 2016 The pain isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, but it is still there -- especially if I am not careful about how I sit down and get up. My biggest issue is that I get really tired pretty easily, but even that isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I can't imagine going back to work right now. I am not going back for another month plus. It's a full-time job keeping up with what I need to do to be successful (fluids and protein), walking, and keeping up all of these appointments. skinny_knees 55 Posted October 4, 2016 I went back to work after four weeks and still had a little pain when I sneezed. Please don't rush your recovery. This is major surgery. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

badkitty 14 Posted October 4, 2016 I had the same pain. It hurt so bad to move or roll over. It was scary and I thought something was wrong, but it goes away. Mine lasted about two weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
