Hi all, is anyone drinking Bai drinks? I was sleeved on 9/19 and am not having any issues getting in fluids, but I'm a little sick of the fake-tasting sweeteners of Vitamin Water zero and others. I tasted Bai yesterday and it was SO delicious. It has 5 calories per serving and 1 sugar, though it lists 7g of Erythritol. I did a quick search and didn't see anything alarming. I really hope that no one bursts my bubble on these because they taste so much better. I know that the fact that they have any calories isn't ideal, but...

I drink them, but mixed with Water. So half bai, half water/ice. My nausea was so bad in the days after surgery and the watermelon one was the only thing I could get down besides pedialyte. I was sleeved on 9/21.

It takes me an entire day & night to get through a bottle. I basically use it to flavor Water - I hate crystalite it's tastes like sh*t to me.

The ones I get are only 5 calories per serving 1 gram of sugar. The only thing about these that might not be "acceptable" is that some of them contain a small amount of caffeine.

I get it from Walmart or Safeway. It's usually near the Vitamin Water & sports drinks

I bought a few and although low cal--- very fake sweet to me. I like the jamaica blood orange sparkling when I miss soda but it's still meh  I'd rather not drink something that could cause a stall because my body thinks its getting sugar or cause me to crave sugar. Water for me-- glad it works for yall.

I love it. costco and Sam's sells them by the case, and right now GFS has them on sale, too, in single flavor cases (so you don't get stuck with a flavor you don't like). I drink one a day at work

My nut says fine and i have tried. To me like @@Candygyrl they taste very artificial prefer lime Water just got true lime, lemon, grapefruit and orange from Amazon. New favorite is the grapefruit. These are just powdered citrus no calories no sweetener. They also make some with stevia.

I buy them by the caseful from SAMs and have since they first came out. The new Bai teas are just as yummy as the oroginals. Beats the heck out of all the low cal drinks loaded with artificial sweeteners. The only thing I can't do are the Bai sparkling drinks in the cans (because of the carbonation). They are also available in most convenience stores and gas stations, so very convenient to pick up when traveling.

Bai tea? I know what I'm looking for now! I agree with those who say good sweet which is why I dilute them. But the sweeteners are much more natural than most sugar free drinks.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
