sumochik 22 Posted October 3, 2016 It's a few days before my surgery and I have a slight cold. No fever or sniffles but I sound sick. Is it true that as long as I don't have a fever I'm good to go? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
KristenLe 5,979 Posted October 3, 2016 If your lungs are clear and no fever you should be OK! Push fluids and take Vit C if allowed! Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App
Valentina 2,642 Posted October 3, 2016 Call your surgeon's office . He/she is the ONLY person to advise you on this. You haven't come this far in the process to stop being smart now. Give them a call. All will be well. Keep posting and let us know how you're feeling. Feel better, friend.

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I had a cold the week before my surgery & I just pushed fluids & Vitamin c with zinc like crazy!! It cleared up a couple days before surgery so I was good to go, but I really feel like it made my recovery a tiny bit harder because I was so run down.
