byebyefat 262 Posted September 30, 2016 Today I went to the drs for a consult for a breast reduction, the Dr said I was perfect candidate for the reduction but with the type of insurance I have , I would have to have 3 months of physical therapy , my question is , did anyone have to do physical therapy , if so what do you have to do while there ? Thanks in advance
laceemouse 631 Posted September 30, 2016 What kind of physical therapy would you need? I have had it for knee and hip pain, it is mostly just supervised exercises. Are you at goal weight? I ask because most people lose most of their breasts when they lose weight. If you are going to lose more you may as well wait and see what you have left afterwards. I haven't had WLS yet but I know I will lose most of my boobs when I lose weight. I am fine with that.

Browneyedgirl41 176 Posted October 1, 2016 I had a breast reduction in 2008, after I lost 60 lbs of baby weight, pre WLS. Then starting in 2009, I packed on 60 plus pounds and ruined the effects of my lift and reduction. I am mad at myself because it was a waste of money too. I will get another one once I reach my goal weight. I did not have to do physical therapy. I have never heard of that before. Do you have an injury or specific medical issue that would make PT a necessity? I'm just curious.
