Just getting started

Hi everyone. I am just getting started with my journey. Im hoping to have surgery in December. I want to get started on Protein Drinks and shakes and I am wondering what brand people recommend either premade or powder. Also what is the average amount of Protein that should be in each drink?

I have been using Biotrust powder, but also really like the Inspire Mexican chocolate that Bariatric Eating has. Many like premixed Protein drinks, too. I try to have 60 grams protein/day--part protein drinks and part protein like on chicken or other sources. I'm nearly 6 months out and still trying to get everything right. Hope everything goes well for you!

I only use Premier Protein ready made shakes. They have 30 grams of Protein, 160 calories and 1 gram of sugar. Because they are pre-made there is not fuss, no muss. Also no grit and they dont stink like most protein drinks I think because of the design of the container they come in.

I use premier Protein for one meal and then GENEPRO medical grade powder missed with something for another meal ( it's pretty gross) - the body can't absorb more than 30 at a time I read - so I do it at two separate meals

Hey guys who makes a good non chocolate p. shake? I like strawberry mixed berry or butterscotch but realize I might have to build on vanilla cause its. So Blah.
