What do you eat 3 months out? Healthy Calories?

Recommended Posts

Hey friends! I need help with picking healthy calories to eat. I don't get enough, which in turn i'm not losing weight. For Breakfast i'll have a Premier Protein shake, for snack i'll have half a bar or some almonds, for lunch i'll have a chicken salad with low fat or fat free dressing, the nfor second snack i'll have the rest of the Protein Bar. For dinner I will have baked chicken, or a salad or fish. I'm three months and 1 day post op and I've only lost 49 pounds. I started at 306.

I'm 11 weeks out and started at 298 dos. Highest was 326.6 anyway I have my premier shake for breakfast same as you, I have a lettuce leaf with mayo n chicken or turkey breastfeeding slices (deli) maybe a strawberry or cottage cheese n for supper usually another Protein drink. I had a P3 today, nuts cheese and turkey. 13g Protein. I stay away from white carbs like there the plague and actually don't really eat brown carbs either. I may have a bite or 2 of sweet potato but that's it. meats are good n so is cheese. Veggies are good too.

That doesn't sound like enough calories! Where are you at now?

It's not a lot of calories, it's less than 600. I workout and walk most days also but never eat my workout calories. What do you mean where an I at now? I'm 3 months post op next week, down 61 lbs.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
