Remedies regarding mild pain

Hi! I'm just out of surgery (day 2) and home. Dealing with some discomfort as per usual (gas pains, soreness, body warmth but no temperature). One of my doctors recommended Gas-X to treat gas pain. Has anyone tried this? Does it work? Have side effects? What else can I do to alleviate soreness or discomfort?

Gas-x strips were my lifesaver. Take your pain meds. And walk,walk,walk...

I brought several boxes of Gas-X strips with me to the hospital.......never used them.

Walking every couple of hours was the key for me that first week. Take a short nap.....then get up and walk around.......repeated.

I also was more comfortable sleeping in a recliner, too.

Good luck, man. Once you get through the first 6-8 weeks everything sorta falls into place and it gets easy to go from there.
