kimini 175 Posted September 27, 2016 Everyone is probably right, and it's probably dehydration or maybe low blood sugar, but I would also like to comment on the Sumatriptan. I used to get Migraines a lot and I took different versions of that (Imitrex, Ambien, Zomig, etc.) and they always affected me very strongly! On one occasion, my Migraine was so bad that I had my husband rush me to the doc and they gave me an Imitrex shot. After I got it, I walked out to pay my copay and passed out in the waiting room. Maybe they never affected you this way before, but it could be with a change in physiology since the surgery that your body is more sensitive to it? Just a thought. I actually thought about that because I have also used different forms of sumatriptan in the past- oral, injectable, and sometimes I notice tingling in my arms or even sweating- but never quite so intense. That could have been the culprit too, in combo with dehydration and the decreased caloric intake. Yes, my system could definitely be more sensitive to it. Thanks for bringing that up! Browneyedgirl41 176 Posted September 27, 2016 chicken Lady" data-cite="Chicken Lady" data-ipsquote-timestamp="1474998878"> I get that feeling when my blood sugar is too low- if I eat something with too much sugar in it or too many carbs at once. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App My original thought was that it was the sugar in the yogurt. It could have been caused by a few different factors, or a combo. This is all such a new experience.
IveGotThePower 395 Posted September 28, 2016 I had this happen 3 or 4 times as well a few weeks after surgery. I spoke with my nutritionist about it and I think it was a drop in sugar. She gave me a sugar monitor and I tested again for a few days, but it did not happen again. Awful feeling. I haven't had it since and my NUT said she has had some people who have that happen. Hopefully you don't have it again.
Rosey posey 176 Posted September 28, 2016 My first thought was orthostatic hypotension , cause I had that post 2 childbirths but a relief to find out dehydration also. These 2 hard to differentiate but will file this in my memory bank. I'm also Aspie so groove on such facts. This is the best web info site, glad it exists. chycky 671 Posted September 28, 2016 I had this happen once close to my post-op. It happened when I had a broth with a lot more fat than normal in it. Made me very queasy and nauseous had to lay down and take the anti-nausea med.

Made me very queasy and nauseous had to lay down and take the anti-nausea med. That sounds more like dumping. ??? I'm so new to this that I haven't quite figured out what is what yet. OzRoo 1,492 Posted September 29, 2016 Dumping is horrible. I had it with beef, soonest I ate beef, it came straight back out, then felt extremely tired and headachy for the rest of the day. Another time was with a drier scrambled egg, it got stuck in my oesophagus, then I had this awful burning in my chest, travelling higher, and it had to all come out as well. Again, I felt exhausted and not well for hours. I haven't touched beef since nor scrambled egg. Soft boiled egg and poached egg is OK. When I told this to my bariatric dietician, she confirmed it was dumping. Haven't had any episodes for the past 2 months. Funny enough, I can have minced lamb, minced veal and lately tried minced pork, and I was fine with these types of red meat. I used to live on steaks, but not anymore .... chicken, turkey and fish are my main staples, with some red meat occasionally.
