HanSolo1977 261 Posted September 29, 2016 I'm a stomach sleeper and I'm about a month out and I'm finally able to sleep on my stomach for long periods of time What I did was use a pillow to cushion my pouch and I could sleep for a little more each night. reree6898 1,164 Posted September 29, 2016 I was a dedicated stomach sleeper my whole life and so after surgery it was about six weeks for me before I could sleep on my stomach again but now I am actually more comfortable on my back or side.
psvzum 81 Posted October 4, 2016 Tummy sleeper here! No problem whatsoever. If you find you do, try tucking a pillow under one side?
GinaCampbell 434 Posted October 4, 2016 I had to sleep in my back for quite a few weeks but found that if I tucked a pillow under me, I could lie a bit more on my side each week. I could only lie on my left side (the side my stomach was removed) though. Trying to turn and lie on my right side felt really weird and uncomfortable. I am nearly five months out now and can sleep on my stomach with no problems. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

JulieNOLA 44 Posted October 7, 2016 Start to practice side sleeping now. I'd get a body pillow to hug so your tummy is against something. If you "train" yourself now, it should help Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
