Water & lots of it is the best to help give you relief..also try adding more Fiber into your diet. I eat the frosted mini wheat squares ( dry) for my fiber. More fruits & Veggies will help too :D

I was having problems too, then I remembered a doctor told me years ago if I would drink a v-8 every day I would never have that problem again. I started drinking one and it has been working so far.

Gosh, an area that I actually don't have a problem in! I eat rye crisps and raw spinach just about every day. And I bought this miniature water bottle at the drug store that looks just like one of the 5-gallon Sparklett's or Arrowhead bottles. It hold the daily recommended Water requirment (plus it's darn cute.) I don't allow myself to eat lunch till the bottle is empty, so I get all the required water in before lunch... any other water is just a bonus. I must have fresh, raw veggies though, even just a little.

i had been doing the low carb diet but got sick of being constipated YUCK...

i take mirilax every 2-4 days, plus eat a LOT of veggies and salads...now that i am off low carbs i can (and did yesterday) enjoy some of my favorites...black Beans, chick peas or garbonzo Beans, lentils, yum yum yum!

i think the daily recommended dosage is 17 grams of fiber a day

hi,

tried the benifiber and only thing i find with benifiber is that you still feel it at the back of you thoart, and is like you gota keep swallowing to get it all cleared out.. and drink more Water,

so we went to the market, and got phillips soft chews, chocolate creme taste, bean's different kinds.

but, am trying Beans , is that bean salad? or bean's like within the rice?, or bean's and rice on side? ,or just plain beans?...

i guess you have to keep trying till you feel comfortable with one of them,

thank you, so much . it's been such a help to me,.. and if is bean salad, what dressing goes best with it,,(hope is not plain) : )..

thank you guys,

margie

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
