Marchies in September!!

Recommended Posts

Barb,

that's just sort of what mine feels like. it's bulged a bit and been sore the last 3 months with my period...of course that's when i started birth control pills to get regular. But what were your hernia symptoms? or didn't you have anything other than the bulge. Is it the bariatric surgeon that goes back in and takes care of that? and how is the recovery time.

stillllllllllllllll waiting to hear something from my nurse practitioner.

All I can say is OH MY GOSH TAMMY! What a difference. You look wonderful!

So can I ask, what has made you most successful besides the band?

Hello Marchies. Haven't posted here in a while, but looks like everone is doing well. I had an accident 2 weeks ago. Fell on some slick steps, broke my leg pretty badly, had surgery, been laid up ever since. Can't put ANY weight on my leg yet. This is getting really old. I go back to the surgeon Thurs. hopefully he will cast it and I can get on the road to recovery. Not losing any weight either, but I had to reschedule my appt. for my fill, due to the leg thing. Hopefully the next fill will be "it." Take care everyone.

Sugarbear,

Oh what a terrible thing your going through, I hope your casted

and have a full recovery fast.

I hear you Neveragain, motivation is so hard to keep going. I try to watch health shows and shows like biggest loser, and the fat march they motivate me for a short while anyway. The winter is going to be hard.

We can all do it though..............

WOW!!!!! Tammy you look great. I look reading all the posts. I don't respond much. I had my 4th fill last Monday. I have PB'd about 5 times this week vs. 2 times in 6 months. I think I finally have the restriction I have been hearing about. I'm happy but a little scared. I'm not sure why. I've lost 33 pounds since March 16 and have about 30 to go.

Good luck to eveyone.

Hey everyone, it has been since the end of July. School really took a toll on my online activity. I am truely depressed, I did so well after the first couple of months, but these last two months have been gut renching. I have gained and lost and stayed the same. I really don't know what I am doing wrong, I am exersiceing and I try to watch what I eat. Things just arn't coming off. I know I know it takes time, but gosh I'm at a stuck place............

Khanson

That's so hard. I feel for you. Ugh! How frustrating.

Well, I can tell you what a well meaning soul told me when I hit a plateau and was complaining about it. She asked if eating more would help me lose, and I answered no. She asked if exercising less would get me over my hump and I told her she was crazy and no way. So she look at me with compassion and said, "Sounds like you need to dig a little deeper and work your way through this."

It may come across as harsh in type and even when I share the story with people they are like, "what a bitqch" But she's not a sarcastic person and she's has seen her share of struggles so she comes from a good place of understanding.

So, maybe you can find that reserve and dig your heels in deep and eat a little less or move a little more or be more structured in how you track your activities and you will beat the weight off your body. You can and you will.

Good luck to you and come back here for all the support you need.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
