Maloneymommy 19 Posted September 23, 2016 So I had RNY on Tuesday and I have to say I feel way better than I thought I would with the exception of my one bigger incision that my surgeon said was where the stapler went in. It's painful when I move too quickly and it's still leaking a little bit of blood every now and then. I've been trying to sleep on my back to avoid aggravating it but I always end up on my side so I'm probably not helping it. I know I'm not supposed to put neosporin or anything like that on it but any ideas to help it heal a little faster? The Candidate 3,215 Posted September 23, 2016 Well it's been over a year for me but I think I was still wearing the steri strips and gauze at that point. I'd check with your doctor about what you can apply to it over the counter.
ladypoohbear 123 Posted September 23, 2016 Hold a pillow On your stomach/pouch and press lightly on it. It helps when turning in bed. It will all be worth it. Have a great Day. ???? kat
Maloneymommy 19 Posted September 23, 2016 I still have steri strips on thank goodness but the gauze is gone. My staples were removed Wednesday when I was discharged. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
