Justgotsleeved 86 Posted September 22, 2016 The day of surgery I weighed 370 lbs. Diabetic, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, kidney not 100%, just am all around, typical obese individual with no drive, no energy, just a desire to eat, always planning my next meal. The attached picture was yesterday's walk. By no means am I ready for a marathon, and there are definately people doing better then me, but I'm not in competition with anyone. I just left the doctors office where I was taken off of ALL MY MEDICATIONS! I weigh 317 lbs as of this morning and I haven't felt this good in MA NY years! Have a great day and thanks for reading. ???? Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Christinamo7 4,042 Posted September 23, 2016 wonderful! It's the best feeling to be taken off medications, isn't it? sometimes I take my blood sugar just for the fun of it to see a normal reading. My last A1c was 5.4 and diabetes is no longer listed on my medical record as a current illness.
Thucydides 250 Posted September 24, 2016 Congratulations, @Justgotsleeved. The best part of it all is that as great as you feel now, you will feel even better tomorrow!
Justgotsleeved 86 Posted September 26, 2016 Down to 315 this crisp Monday morning. Feeling great. Don't mind me, I participated in a waste loss challenge and it ended last week but I like logging my weight every week so I may turn this thread into that. I apologize if that bothers anyone. And feel free to post your weights as well! Have a great day and week! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

brendaleecantu 33 Posted September 27, 2016 Congratulations! I got sleeved May 31 and just started walking/jogging 3 weeks ago. I should have started sooner but I had a rough recovery from surgery. I'm doing my 1st 5k in 2 weeks. So nervous and excited at the same time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App

It's amazing the things we look forward to now. Physical activity?!?! That's great to hear. I'm participating in a walk next month that I registered for as a walker. Since I've been jogging/walking everyday I may just join the runners and wobble along side of them! stay consistent with the walking/jogging and you'll literally see the weight melt off of you by the day. It's a great feeling Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
