Sorry that I am so blunt. But I am constantly peeing. It started with the PreOp liquid diet and no sooner then I was out of surgery, I was peeing. Anyone else experience this? I guess this isn't a bad thing but my goodness.

I know it's a pain. It that's a good thing. It's also the way the body rids itself if fats and toxins. Be glad!! My doc said I should be going atleast 6 to 10 times a day.

That is about how much I was going. It just slowed down this afternoon. It must be toxins. TMI alert, I've had an vaginal order for over a year that I would have to wear a poise to help with the odor. It was strong and me embarrassing. A few days after being on the liquid detox, i noticed the odor disappeared. Also, I no longer need to wear liners. Amazing what eliminating foods will do. I hope I continue to pee although it's in annoying.

I just had surgery less than 24 hours ago and I've been going pretty much every 15-30 mins. Even after I got discharged, I made sure I peed before we left the hospital. We live over an hour away from the hospital and I had to stop to pee less than halfway into the drive. By the time we were 15 mins away from home I had to go again but I held it until we got home. Our apartment is on the third floor. Everyone was worried about me going up 3 flights of stairs but I had no trouble at all because I was so focused on making it to the bathroom before I had an accident

You all have me worried. I have been practicing drinking over 64oz a day and I feel like I'm in the bathroom every other 5 minutes. If it's worse after surgery I'm going to have to bed down in the bathroom with some good books. ???? LOL

I had a catheter in the hospital. It's quite normal to be peeing like a race horse this early out.

Me too. I'm on the pre-op liquids diet and I literally pee every hour. Including all night.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
