katmeg99 0 Posted September 13, 2007 I'm just going to jump in here and say that you all are scaring the heck out of me! I'm scheduled to have my surgery 9/18 and have been going to Curves for my daily 30 minute workouts. Everyone on this thread is doing workouts that I'm confident would kill me! Also, I don't have that extra hour to hour and a half to devote to exercise. I'm afraid I'm going to fail with the band before I get started because I can't devote that significant amount of time to exercise. Am I blowing things out of proportion? Is it possible to lose weight with daily 30 minute workouts?:rolleyes

Is it possible to lose weight with daily 30 minute workouts?:rolleyes I started my band journey in March and I didn't even start exercising until July. When I started back in July I did 40 min 3-4 times a week, using the elliptical machines. I ended up getting really bored and needed something more to challenge me, starting late august. I started taking spinning classes and hired a personal trainer. Spin is great, because you basically go at your own pace, and the personal trainer started me slow and I am slowly building up more and more, even though she did almost kill me the first session. But I think that everyone that is on the thread has taken a lot of time to build up to their exercise. And you have to remember that losing weight makes it so much easier to move...
