@@TanishaP I'm the same date. :D Pre-Admission Testing usually consists of a chest xray, EKG, probably some bloodwork (if not already done) and a meeting with the Anesthesiologist. They may review your medications and provide instructions for you pre-op and the day of surgery.

@DJ's Nana @@TanishaP I just got my pre-adm testing appointment with instructions. Here's what it says..

What to expect during your PAT Appointment:
-- Your pre-admission testing appointment will last approx. 1.5 hours.
-- Please bring a detailed list of ALL medications or your medication
bottles that you currently take, including over-the-counter meds.
-- You will receive a comprehensive nursing assessment and pre-operative
instructions.
-- Your visit may include a brief medical history, physical exam and
anesthesia by a nurse practioner.
-- You will have any indicated blood tests, EKG and/or a Chest X-Ray.
-- To avoid excess testing, provide the PAT department with all results of
tests performed within the past month.
On the day of your pre-admission testing, please remember to:
-- Eat normally - no need to fast.
-- Take your usual medication(s), unless you have been instructed
otherwise by your surgeon.
-- Bring all medications with you or a list of all the medications you
take, including over-the-counter medications.
-- Bring your medical insurance card and license/photo ID with you.
-- Wear comfortable clothes, and refrain from using body lotions, oils or
powder that morning (deodorant is okay).

Thank you @krisrenLe....The called me yesterday just with the date of both the pre screening and Surgery...I am sure they will send some info in the mail..Will keep in contact with u since we get sleeved the same day.

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
