I did and still do exercise. I workout 3-5 days a week for one hour, depending on my schedule. I do mostly strength training now but initially did cardio as well .

No regrets. Doubts, fear, and worry- absolutely along the way, sure and totally normal. My suggestion is to be willing to do whatever it takes to be successful. For me that meant following the rules of my program. I did not cheat on my pre-op diet. I focused on Protein first and then veggies post-op. I did any and everything to be successful my first. Keep asking questions and reading these boards. You're off to a great start.

Seeing posts like this makes me so happy. It really gives me a new perspective and so much hope. There's always a chance to make up for lost time. I've spent a majority of my life feeling so invisible, missing out on social events for fear of not having anything to wear, not feeling confident or just being too embarrassed.

I can't wait to glow and exude your confidence. You go girl!! Congratulations. Thank you so much for sharing this post. I'm 31 and I can't wait to go to my reunion and rock a dress like you!

I still faithfully use My Fitness Pal. I loosely plan my meals for the week. So since I'm minding my carbs to get the holiday bloat off, I will punch in various meal ideas the night before to give me guidance for the following day. I still focus on Protein with every meal and never really went back to eating bread or Pasta. I also do better when I keep my Water intake up. Hope that helps.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
