katie09/21/2016 137 Posted September 21, 2016 It's my turn for the gastric sleeve tomorrow morning (8am). I feel nervous and weird... I started at my surgeons weightloss center on Jan 29th 2017. I am 5'9 and I weighed in at 271 pounds. This morning I weighed myself at 216 pounds, so I'm heading into surgery somewhat lighter than I expected. I am thankful for the program I've been through and the time I've had to adjust things in my life in preparation for this.....(although who knows how I will feel this time tomorrow!) Having said that, in still terrified but excited to get through this next part. I haven't been on the forums long but I am so grateful for having access to something like this - shared experience. I've learnt a lot & really love having the support of others who get it. Sent from my iPod touch using the BariatricPal App

SusieT 43 Posted September 21, 2016 Jitters are normal, I think. I even second-guessed my decision for a while afterwards. I had RnY on 6/20. Down 70 lbs from highest weight one year ago. Best decision I ever made for my health. First month is kinda rough, but by the end of the second month, it's a new normal. ????Totally off Metformin and off one of 2 BP meds. More energy and stamina and mobility. Can I eat whatever I want, how much I want, whenever I want? Course not! But that's kind of the point, isn't it? Best wishes today and in your healthy future! Keep us posted. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
