fruit smoothies are an excellent way to mainline a lot of sugar and carbs and calories into your system . . . if I were you, I would stay away.

Muscle Milk Light has good numbers but just regular Muscle Milk is relatively high calorie, so you would want to be careful about your intake to make sure you aren't inadvertently taking in too much.

I'm on phase 2 post op. Can I have fruit smoothies? Also is muscle milk a good source to drink?

You need to look at the sugar content. Some fruit smoothies bought at "health food" places have 80+ gms of sugar. The store bought ones are loaded too. On a Protein shake - be sure low sugars and high Protein. Some of the muscle milk products are loaded with sugar. Just check labels.

They were on my list of acceptable foods for full liquids but, yes, so much sugar so I stayed away.

I make fruit smoothies:

1 container Greek yogurt

1 scoop gene pro

1/2 cup frozen mixed berries

Ice Water with squirt of SF lemonade flavoring

It's delicious and 45 grams of Protein. Keeps me satisfied for a while.
