Twilkins1014 0 Posted September 19, 2016 Bypass scheduled for 9/26/16 & overwhelmed on what chewable vitamins to purchase. Any suggestions?
catwoman7 11,221 Posted September 19, 2016 I just get the generic Centrums at CVS ("SpectraVite"). I get the one for seniors (because I am one), but I suppose it doesn't matter. The senior ones don't have Iron in them, but since I take separate iron supplements, it doesn't really matter
James Marusek 5,244 Posted September 19, 2016 I used Flintstone chewable. They are a little harder to come by now because they seem to be replaced with Gummy Vitamins which will not work for RNY gastric bypass patients because they are not absorbed properly. Cervidae 2,389 Posted September 19, 2016 I just attended a support group meeting about vitamins/supplements. They had several suggestions, but their favorite one (also one they are FINALLY carrying in the hospital pharmacy) is Celebrate cheweables. I actually love this brand and find them to be the least gross, and it's a pretty good value, especially considering they are formulated specifically for bariatric patients. Forest berry is my favorite flavor.
