Denise007 13 Posted September 18, 2016 I'm nearly six weeks out and am cleared for everything but breads and pastas. I've noticed now that I'm adding different foods - they are hitting my stomach hard. It's slightly painful but no vomiting. Is this something that goes away with time? Is it normal as we begin solids?
Icantbelieveit 955 Posted September 18, 2016 I was told to chew everything pretty much to a paste or close to it and teeny bites and 1 bite per minute Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

James Marusek 5,244 Posted September 19, 2016 The transition to solid foods can be hard. So take your time, your stomach is still in heal mode. I found that softer foods (chili and soups) went down much easier than harder foods such as steak and chicken. I have included some recipes in the following article at the end. http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Surgery.pdf

StefanieSparklePants 95 Posted September 19, 2016 If you irritate your pouch like I did every time I transitioned to a new food stage, it doesn't hurt to revert back to shakes for a day to let your pouch rest. That's what my bariatric team told me to do.
