Back fat?!

Recommended Posts

Ok I'm looking to see if anyone has had any results working out back fat.... I can't stand mine and I need to tone it up a bit. I have done research but it's only skinny women who talk about it. I want to see results from a real woman who had back fat and toned it up. Hope there is someone out there....

You can't spot lose fat. You can't tone fat because it isn't a muscle.

If you build back muscles under fat you are just going to look bigger.

The best option is to just keep losing. Almost all my back fat is gone, because I have just kept losing weight.

I expected to have alot of back fat. As I got to goal, that is no longer the case surprisingly enough.

I would agree that the best thing is to get to a healthy weight by losing fat, if you focus on that it should get better.

Ditto what has been said! Can't spot reduce and can't tone fat. Just keep going and eventually it will go.

When the times comes, and if I still have it even when I reach my goal weight, which I probably will, I'm having Lipo. ;)

Watch you diet. No such thing as spot reduction. However with proper diet and incorporating some challenging weights properly you can bring about change. I've developed my back really well by just cutting back on carbs, increasing Protein and hitting the Iron consistently

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
