SlimBra 151 Posted September 26, 2016 waaah!! so today I discovered I am approved, well kinda...and have been approved for quite awhile! Apparently the doc office gave a specific surgery date instead of a few weeks time frame. So the insurance company was waiting on the doc office to update them , but doc office had no clue they were waiting on them! Are you kidding me?!?! So I am currently approved for OUTPATIENT surgery, ya know, rip into my stomach, reroute my guts and send me out the door! So now the doc office is talking to the insurance for inpatient surgery.....bwhahaha this is so emotionally exhausting!!! stay tuned ...next episode of this sitcom soon! thanks for listening to me complain...Happy Monday!!! KristenLe 5,979 Posted September 27, 2016 @@SlimBra Great news!!! It was recommended to me to get a front closure comfy bra (wireless) for post-op. I got sports bras on Amazon. I also picked up several different herbal/flavored teas including "Smooth Move" (to help with constipation). Congrats on your surgery date!!!

KristenLe 5,979 Posted September 27, 2016 @@SlimBra Yes - an abdominal binder. I am going to wait and ask about it in my pre-op teaching class.
Nikkicee 3 Posted September 28, 2016 I had my RNY on 9/20. My abdominal binder has been a godsend! I would highly recommend. My team recommended I ask for it as soon as they wanted me to start walking in the hospital. It helps put just enough pressure on your stomach to make it slightly easier to move around without the cumbersome pillow. SlimBra 151 Posted September 30, 2016 @nikkicee. how are you feeling? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
Nikkicee 3 Posted September 30, 2016 @@SlimBra Bypass wise, I feel terrific. I haven't needed any pain meds in the last two days. I had a little setback with a post op infection and have been pretty nauseous (I think because the antibiotic is a horse pill even cut in half, lol) Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
