6 months supervised

Recommended Posts

I have 2 months to go all! November will be my last weight loss follow up appointment before the surgeons office will submit to my insurance.

Super nervous, should I ask the office if they would "fight" for me to get the surgery? I don't want to be disappointed at the end after fulfilling the ridiculous requirements.

Thanks

Jen

I'm in the same boat! My last wl appt is 1 month from today. Hoping to get surgery in November. I'm also totally nervous there are going to be insurance issues. I actually asked my office "if I don't get approved do you all fight for me?" They assured me that they do. Anyway, Good luck! Yay! new life here we come!!!

This is what I'm nervous about. I'm just starting my stage 2 which is for filling all the requirements. I'm so afraid of doing all this work only for them to say no. I was told though that normally if the insurance company invest in you by paying for all these appointments that they usually don't deny you. if they do the bariatric center will fight for you and so will your primary care doctor.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
