Andre08 14 Posted September 14, 2016 I'm stuck at the same weight. It's always only a 5 lb difference. It's been like this for a week now. Any suggestions? I'm only 3 weeks out of surgery so I just started eating fish and stuff like that yesterday but my weight hasn't moved. I'm walking like they said to do. Trying not to get discouraged. Anyone have this problem this early on? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted September 14, 2016 Yes, not just someone, almost everyone! You are in good company! It is completely normal to stall for a few weeks in the 2-4 weeks after surgery range. You can Google something like "3 week stall weight loss surgery" or "third week stall vsg" and you will see that it is 100% normal and you are not doing anything wrong. Your body just needs a little pause to catch up with what is going on. Stay off the scale for at least a few weeks, focus on following your program, and everything will be fine. Good luck! Crystal Ann Keister 49 Posted September 14, 2016 I was told by my NUT. that at week three you introduce sodium back in your diet again. So you look like you hit a stall when in fact you retain Water. She said between weeks 3 to 6 weeks look at inches lost not just weight. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App
Cluelesswinner 32 Posted September 19, 2016 Everyone answered your question. I just wanted to congratulate you on the beginning of a whole new life. I wished I did this 20 years ago. Either way I am grateful I'm sleeved today. 1 bev56 reacted to this
