I tried to prepare myself this am when I steppe son the scales- in fact- I missed my weekly weigh in by two days because I figured his would be when that stall everyone talks about would begin and I was trying to mentally prepare myself... Thought I was ready- but I guess I wasn't--- at three weeks post surgery I had lost 18 pounds and I was really happy with that- I weighed today ( 4 weeks and two days post surgery) and it's the exact same

I knows all about stalls and everything. Ut man it really hurts to see that number. I know it's a marathon and not a sprint but my brain just cannot see how I can eat how little I do and not lose weight. It's so shocking

Thanks for listening- just needed some support

@@tenseintexas Just think - 18 lbs in 3 weeks - that's an incredible loss! When have you ever done that before - and managed to keep it off?? Your body needs time to adjust. Just stick with your plan - meet your Protein and Water goals and the weight will come off again! Measure yourself and watch your body changing - even though the scale might not be moving right now!!! Stay strong!!!

@@tenseintexas I know how you feel, but I'm learning to trust the process. I was sleeved May 23/16 and I'm 40lbs down. I have gone through several stalls already and each one I think "this is it, all this for 20...30..40lb's etc." But then suddenly I will drop 4-5lbs more. Hang in there, it will come! Your doing great!!

The weight doesn't fall off. Please start living your life, eat right, and ditch the scale. Put it on a shelf and weigh monthly if it bothers you so much. In one year, if you follow your plan, you will be amazed at your results!!!

Pay attention to your carbs and portions. Every month i go up a couple of pounds and then go back down. I do usr my scale nearly every day it keeps me motivated do if I'm up. I watch what i eat for a couple of days. I may even go back to my soft food diet for a couple of days. Also if you are experiencing heart ???? your portions are likely to big. I think you're doing great. 4 weeks 2 days total, and you're down 18 lbs. To lose two pounds a week, one has to cut their calories by 1000 per day and you're averaging ~4.5 lbs a week. I think that's incredible. Hang in there emotionally, we're all going through this together. *hugs*

I'm in the same boat! I am about 5 weeks out, lost 18 lbs and then I've stalled for the past week and a half! It's been so frustrating. I'm trying to just embrace it, keep following the plan, and not worry...but it's easier said than done!

I did take measurements and noticed some losses there, so that's good.

But hey, I'm still at the lowest I've been at since at least 2007. Focus on the positive!!

I feel the same I had rny on the 14.05.16 and from the day of my operation until date I only lost 66 pounds. I know it seems a lot but I can't help feeling I could have done better. Or I don't know...I m dissapointed.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
