Tell me a good story

Recommended Posts

I am due to be sleeved on October 17th. I can't wait! Especially for being lighter on my feet and body. I can't wait to hike and run and lift weights and do yoga again without pain and misery. So, tell me all about how your aches and pains went away with weight loss! I know my feet will be happier (and my knees and my hips!!)

Okay.. Clears throat**

Back in the days, when I would bend down to tie my shoelaces, I would have to sit up and catch my breath before finishing one shoe because I had a huge belly.. 3 months later, I don't have this problem to deal with and it honestly feels great!

OMG -- the week before I started my six-month pre-op diet, I had to have one of my colleagues tie my shoes at the Norfolk airport. My shoes made the alarm go off in the Pre-Check line and I had to take them off, and they were tied too tight to slip back into. With my dress clothes on, I just couldn't do it. Talk about hitting rock bottom. (Although Jenn was so sweet about it and has been nothing but supportive throughout this entire thing...)

My sister had to do that for me after the surgery since I couldn't bend that much.. Nothing made me feel as vulnerable and helpless as having someone else tie my shoe laces for me.. Not a fun experience..

But never again! High five!!
