6 day post op and yesterday and today I feel soooo tired! I'm getting enough sleep, I'm averaging 84 grams of Protein, 4 bottles of Water, taking ALL the Vitamins and minerals I was told to take and I can barely keep my eyes open! What's up with that?

I was pretty tired the first few weeks, too (esp the first couple of weeks). I think your body's just exhausted from the surgery. It'll pass.

Sounds like it's gas. That's the only pain I really had and it was bad. You need to walk, walk, walk! I walked for 2 miles yesterday and now it must be completely gone because for the first time since surgery I have zero pain! =)

Yeah, it is some of the worst pain out there! At one point it felt like my rib was broken!
Sounds like you're doing great!! Shouldn't be too much longer, maybe one of two more days if you keep up the walking! xo

I have the same sort of left side rib pain. It's getting better every day, but I think mine is a combo of muscle/incision site tenderness and gas. I had my surgery on 9/28 and I was so tried today, I felt like I could have slept all day. I know it's part of it, but still tough. Then when I sleep, I feel like I'm getting dehydrated. So much to coordinate just to be "normal." I'm excited to be a few weeks out and have the energy boost I have heard people talk about. I'm already sick of cream of blank soup! ;)

I had my surgery on 8/23 and had absolutely no pain, never took pain meds. I will say that I was extremely uncomfortable from the Co2 and was tired for about 2 weeks. I took many mini walks down the driveway several times a day. I'm now 7 weeks out and feel great, be patient you will start to feel better soon.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
