olliesoda 174 Posted September 16, 2016 So had my first full day post op yesterday. Wound pain was ok, thanks to drugs! Trapped gas was a challenge but frequent walking helped that.i managed to take in 1400 ml of various fluids need to get that to 2000ml today. All in all better than I expected

Guest Posted September 16, 2016 The hospital or surgeons I've looked at here make you do liquid diet for two weeks prior. I rather yours. How are you coming along? Sent from my SM-G900H using the BariatricPal App

Sent from my SM-G900H using the BariatricPal App I think the UK and US offer differing advise especially around Protein pre and post operation. If in doubt id follow your own surgical team directions. This worked for me losing over 20lbs in the two weeks.
Guest Posted September 16, 2016 So how's the belly pain? I heard about gas pain, I so worry about that Sent from my SM-G900H using the BariatricPal App
Millymollymandy22 3 Posted September 16, 2016 Gas pain is so worst than the incision pain! I'm a week post op and wind pain is by far the worst but is getting better day by day! Sent from my SM-N910F using the BariatricPal App
olliesoda 174 Posted September 16, 2016 So how's the belly pain? I heard about gas pain, I so worry about that Sent from my SM-G900H using the BariatricPal App I won't lie there has been gas pain. BUT... If you walk and move around it calms straight away. It is starting to dissipate now. I've been sleeping in a recliner for last two nights that's helped, I struggled in bed. It's only for a few days so worth it. Overall I have had little pain. Luckily don't worry to much. It's all for the good!
Guest Posted September 16, 2016 Thanks so much. I have a hanging abdomen (I had lost 70 lbs already on my own)... I get gas from that and at times it's been excruciating, so that's been a fear of mine. Thank you so much. I just told my hub yesterday (as much I don't like Lazy boy recliners) we need one. Definitely will be getting one before. I will follow your advise. ???? Sent from my SM-G900H using the BariatricPal App

It's the gas used to expand your abdomen during surgery so they have more room to operate. It usually only goes away with walking or moving. It's usually in your chest cavity and often goes to your shoulders. Walk, walk, walk...

rolosmom7 740 Posted September 17, 2016 Hi all. Just got home today from sleeve surgery yesterday. I'm trying to stay hydrated, but it is so hard. Gas/incision pain and pain everytime I take a sip of anything. How lobby does this last? What's the worst part before you get to the good side of the mountain?
