@@andersonrivera, Yes I knew I would have surgery, I just had to wait to go through my insurance process for approval.

I do not regret having VSG surgery. My weight had spiraled so much out of control it was affecting not only my physical health but also my mental health.

I love the fact that with this tool you only need a few bites and your full. One of the reasons for my weight gain was Portion Control and this helps keep me on track.

Yes I like drinking after my meals. I was a person that would drink glasses and glasses of juice before, during and after my meals and would get a lot of extra calories that way. By having it after my meal it allows me time to chew and actually taste my food!

Same with me, I knew I was gonna do it had to go through my insurance (7months) watching your weight, taking test, talking about your relationship with food.

I had surgery 09/08/16. No regrets because I think about food CONSTANTLY and you should see my past credit card history! Everything for me was, where am I going to eat, what am I going to eat. No matter the circumstance I always ordered a large! The greed is out of control because I wouldn't want anyone to eat my left overs and as full as I was I'd still choke it down. I'm still getting used to it and learning what my new limits are. Waiting to drink once you've had something isn't all that bad, no where close on my list of complaints.

Yes, it took me over a year to meet my insurance requirements for approval.

Did you regret having surgery? Why yes or no?
No. Why would I regret going from a size 6x to an 8 after being morbidly obese my entire life?

Do you people enjoy eating small meals and being full?

Yes, except for holiday meals when I wish I could do more than take a tiny sample bite of all the dishes!

Neither like nor dislike. It's just the way things are now, I am fine with it. nbd

My husband (and I) went to Seminars for fifteen years. Not comfortable until we found the sleeve surgery.

A year before the surgery our health was getting worse.

We have never regretted the sleeve three years ago and would definitely do it again. I have not had to call Rescue to my husband in three years.

We can eat whatever we want with moderation, except things like Mac and cheese which would make us fat again. Not risking it. We have gotten used to small bites and small healthy meals.

You can drink all day as much as you want, so leaving the drinks along while eating is no big deal.

My dad had RNY surgery 4 years ago and while I've always been a supporter of WLS, I never thought it was for me. I figured I could do it on my own, just like everyone else here probably thought at some point. I was always able to lose weight dieting but was never able to keep it off. About a year ago is when I realized that I needed a little extra help to be able to succeed. I did my research and decided on the sleeve and had it 8 months later.

I'm only 5 weeks post op but so far, don't regret it at all. I'm down 19 pounds in those 5 weeks and have lost a total of 18 inches. I could have never done that with a regular diet.

I'm ok with the small meals but I do wish that I was able to tell when I was full a little easier. I'm still a newbie so I'm sure it'll come but at this point, I'm sure I'm still not eating enough.

Eating and drinking is the one thing I miss. I really enjoyed that and it's taking a while to get used to. If that's the worst thing that happens to me though... I'll live.

A year ago, I was talking to a friend who had a gastric bypass, I considered it and thought, no that's too drastic.

I'm only 2 weeks in, and I don't regret it. There have been times when I wanted to eat rice, and a big bowl of pho but seeing the results in the mirror makes me happy about my choice.

Yes and no. Yes because it feels good to me to not have to eat so much. No because sometimes I just want to eat a lot.

Absolutely not! I like my drinks and I hate that I have to choose between a meal or a drink ????

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
