Hiccup 32 Posted September 11, 2016 So I see so many posts about the food types that need to be consumed post surgery but from the looks of it, it seems that one MUST consume at least egg and fish which I don't!!! I do consume dairy and milk products though but nothing else i.e. egg or fish etc. so what can I do? And just in case you're wondering, yes I am an obese vegetarian. I'm 440lbs and I'm vegetarian! lol... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted September 11, 2016 There are Protein supplements that you'll learn about. I'm sure you know that whole grains and legumes together provide complete Protein, etc., etc. (Watch the amounts!!) There are options for you and plenty of sources of info. (I'm not the source, though, as I'm not vegetarian.)

Aviobell 15 Posted September 12, 2016 Beans! So many assortments of Beans split pea is my favorite. You can have Greek yogurt, and cottage cheese too right? I talked to my dietician about all the Beans I'd rather eat than meats. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
ShelterDog64 2,364 Posted September 12, 2016 I'm not a vegetarian, but a huge portion of my Protein comes from non-meat sources, and I can barely tolerate eggs post-sleeve so they're not a consideration. I eat a lot of Beans, regular cheese, cottage and ricotta cheese, yogurt, quinoa and whey-based Protein supplements. You'll be great at it!
