melbell2222 244 Posted September 11, 2016 I just had my first food stuck in the esophagus and the only way to get it unstuck was to puke it out.... Omg toast does not want to enter my body yet and I won't let it for a long while now lol... Anyone else have this happen? If so what kind of food did it? James Marusek 5,244 Posted September 11, 2016 Transitioning to hard foods can be difficult. meats are especially difficult for me. So I relied on softer foods such as chili and Soups.
melbell2222 244 Posted September 11, 2016 I do believe I'll stay on the softer food diet for a few more weeks and pick up my Protein shakes which are hard for me but I need to get over it lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

kimini 175 Posted September 28, 2016 I had that problem with brisket and have shied away from it ever since. I also have trouble with chicken breast. No throwing up, but intense pain in my chest! Chicken thigh meat is a little easier, and even then I have to have some sort of sauce to help it go down.
rolosmom7 740 Posted September 28, 2016 I'm pretty sure this tuna is going to hang out for awhile. I'll be delaying mushies a few more days. This is horrible!!!
kimini 175 Posted September 28, 2016 @@rolosmom7, I eat a lot of tuna, and it is high in Protein, but I definitely won't eat it without a LOT of mayo! If you are worried about fat, use lite mayo. I need sauces/condiments to get most protein down.
rolosmom7 740 Posted September 28, 2016 It had mayo ???? I think I'm just going to delay on the mushies until Saturday or Sunday. I'll definitely keep the sauce in mind. I want to try the ricotta bake, maybe it will go down easier with extra sauce.
kimini 175 Posted September 28, 2016 @@rolosmom7, I've been wanting to try the ricotta bake, too. I think I'll get the ingredients and make it this weekend.
melbell2222 244 Posted September 30, 2016 Anything I cook I eat for a few days then never want to see it again.... But I have to have sauce like ranch or mayo for it to go down good I'm not sure why that is either. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App My cousin had the surgery 6 months before me, and she warned me that dry foods do not go down well. Everything has to be super moist or loaded with sauce so it goes down smooth.
