rhaya sunshine 8 Posted September 11, 2016 Maybe this sounds insane, but I'm worried because I'm having too easy of a time. I'm meeting my Protein and Water goals with no struggle. Im getting my pills down i can drink all of my shakes. Am i going to over eat because of this? Im drinking 8oz shakes but my "meals" aka yogurt and Soup are both 4oz because I'm scared to go above. Everyone i know has struggled and I'm happy I'm not but it makes me feel abnormal, like I'm doing something wrong or something is wrong or maybe my sleeve is too big. opinions? similar experiences

NewAdventure2016 131 Posted September 11, 2016 I know what you both mean ... All went well for me other than one bout of a dry heave on day 2. I'm 11 days post op and pureed week went fine, not losing as fast as at first but no complaints. I figure I'll see a stall pretty soon as that seems to be the norm around the 3rd week. chycky 671 Posted September 11, 2016 I had much the same and on purely liquid stage i did not have to limit my Protein Shake sizes. Though it could take a while to drink it al. They counted toward my daily liquid needs as well.
Leather'nLace 187 Posted September 11, 2016 I'm 18 days post op and have been able to drink my shakes within 10 minutes since a week or so out. I'm glad in not struggling, but it makes me wonder... I totally get where you are coming from. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Omieliz 213 Posted September 11, 2016 I haven't had any problems either. I'm just a week ahead of you, and was easily able to meet my liquid and Protein goals without a hitch. I was and am, also scared like you. Fortunately, there were some vets that read my post and said that it's normal. I just tried to remind myself of that - I'm normal . laney 172 Posted September 15, 2016 I was on 2oz of Premier Protein shake every hour on the hour. The other 45 mins I was on puréed Soups, chicken broth, decafe tea or coffee, non fat milk, Water, juice diluted with water. It was 2 oz every 15 mins during the hour and it kept me satisfied. Good luck and the weight will come off. One month out and just hit a stall Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Shell Renewed 176 Posted September 15, 2016 I'm day 10 and have been having no issues either. Like you I was wondering if there's something wrong if that it's too easy. Did they cut enough off, etc. My nurse reassured me, so now I'm grateful it's been smooth so far, though I know it may not always be. I love not being hungry and I love getting full fast. KristenLe 5,979 Posted September 15, 2016 Are people having shakes right after sugery. I'm on Water and Crystal Light for 5 days. Anyone else told basically water only? Sent from my VS986 using the BariatricPal App Alot of people seem to be on Clear Liquids only post-op. I don't know how they expect you to do that - they should at least allow shakes so you can get Protein.
