Bufflehead 6,358 Posted September 9, 2016 How many calories are you getting each day? cheese, Salad Dressing, rice, etc can add up.
KristenLe 5,979 Posted September 9, 2016 @@elvis3734 Eliminate the rice. Be sure to get enough fluids (non-caloric drinks) and exercise - even if it's just a brief walk daily. But - 5 lbs is not bad. I have PCOS and 5 lbs doesn't come off very easily. I lost one lb on my first month of supervised diet.
elvis3734 24 Posted September 9, 2016 Try adding benefiber and making sure Water intake is good.Thank you. I'll try that. I had a cup of metmucial appetite suppressant, seemed to work as far as appetite. Was hoping it would help with the Constipation, but nope Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
elvis3734 24 Posted September 9, 2016 How many calories are you getting each day? cheese, salad dressing, rice, etc can add up.Good point. I should add the calories up. I use cauliflower rice. It's not rice. All cauliflower. I agree on the cheese. I just take a slice and don't measure. I'll start doing that. Armygalbonnie 643 Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) It does seem like you are getting a lot of carolies My pre-surgery diet directed by my NUT, consisted of the following: - Protein shake for Breakfast - morning snack - lunch = 3 to 4 oz lean Protein, 1 c non-starchy veggies - afternoon snack - dinner = 3 to 4 oz lean protein, 1 c non-starchy veggies Snack options: - unflavored protein power + sugar free drink mix - Protein bat (15+ g protein/less than 15g carbs - 1 oz low-fat cheese and small piece fruit/veggies - 6 oz low-sugar, low-fat yogurt (Greek preferred) - 1/2 c low-fat cottage cheese @ 1/2 c fruit - 1-2 oz lean protein + 1/2 fruit or veggies 1 to 2 whole grain carbs can be added a month. By following this mealplan with a few 1/2 bananas added in, I lost 17 lbs in one month. Good luck! Edited September 9, 2016 by Armygalbonnie
Rebecca66 13 Posted September 9, 2016 Use fitness pal to track your carbs. You should be at about 20g carbs per day. Just the chili alone that you have listed is 30g of carbs.

I don't know why so many people shun coffee, I can't even get half a cup down before I gotta poop, works every day I drink about a cup or 2, used to be on time in the morning every day, but since I've been doing low carb, it's not happening. OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) That doesn't seem like enough calories to lose weight. Also like @@Rebecca66 said, you aren't really low carbing. The yogurt and the chili alone are blowing all your carbs for the day. Also, make sure you are weighing all your food and getting all the proper portions, if you don't weigh your food and get the portions right it is very easy to over or under eat.
