I am 4 days post op and scrolling through these posts and I have yet to see someone with a shape like mine with a before and after pic. I have a B shaped belly. So my belly button divides the two rolls. I call them my top belly and bottom belly (fupa). I am curious as to how many of them look after the weight loss. I understand all skin is different. Anyone shaped like me mind posting before and afters??

I don't see a lot of tummy pictures on here but I see tons of them on Youtube. Search weight loss, weight loss surgery, before and after, and "skin flicks". You will see lots of different tummies (and arms and legs and backs and butts) both before and after weight loss. Hope this helps.

There's a website that you can search for before and afters by body type. If I could only remember the name. Lol. I'll try and find it. I think I have the type of belly you describe. I'm pre-op though so can't help with before and after pics.

@@JamieLogical Was it you who had posted a website that you could search for before & after by your body type??

Not necessarily before/after, but they are just photos of women that you can search by weight, height, body type, and age so you can get a sense of what you might look like at your goal weight:

I have that exact same body type and I am down 116 pounds from my starting point and STILL have it but less! I hope the belly disappears at some point. I also have quite a bit of fat in my back that I wish would go away.

Keep in mind that this is not an after picture by any means, but the one on the left is April, top right is July, and bottom right is last week. post-285447-14734684258197_thumb.jpg

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
