Nikki Bailey 3 Posted September 8, 2016 I am 2 days sleeve post op and have to start back on my regular 10 mg/day dose of Warfarin. (I have a blood clotting disorder.) So far, I've tried the crushed pill in yogurt and chocolate pudding. Both made my tongue burn and were just generally disgusting. What other liquids/foods have people tried to disguise their meds? Remember, I'm still on liquid diet and can only have yogurt, Soup and pudding for foods.

heidikat72 935 Posted September 8, 2016 how large is the pill? you may be able to take it whole by now. Otherwise, I'm afraid you will just have to deal with the taste until you can take them whole. The yogurt and pudding are the best options for masking the taste but honestly, drugs tend to have a bitter taste anyway (which is part of the reason we take them in tablet or capsule form so you don't taste it) and nothing will completely take that away. Nikki Bailey 3 Posted September 9, 2016 My doc's rules are no whole pills for 30 days after surgery. I think he believes the sleeve is too delicate for whole tablets.
gustavio 439 Posted September 13, 2016 From day one, I was allowed whole pills. Never gave me an issue. Only pill I had to change was my multi Vitamin because it was too big to swallow comfortably. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
