julasif 13 Posted January 14, 2017 This is also my fear. I am starting at barely over 35 BMI. I'm on the 6 month weigh in. My Dr tells me it's OK if I go under a little, but I refuse to until the very last month. Then I plan on losing 7 or 8 lbs. They always laugh at me because literally my weight stays EXACTLY the same. kell911 62 Posted January 17, 2017 I started with 36.9 bmi, i am now at 35.89 as of yesterday. I have my last weigh in 2/2. My goal is to maintain this because I don't want to even let them try to deny me.
kell911 62 Posted January 17, 2017 @@patricka76 so how long did it take for them to get your approval? Do you have a surgery date?
patricka76 10 Posted January 17, 2017 Exactly one week and no surgery date yet I have my preop on the 6th. They told me I'm anemic so I'm taking Iron supplements and see if my levels look better by then. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

SarahSleeve 170 Posted January 17, 2017 I was told that I had to have a BMI of 40 when they submitted to insurance but then I could go under. Which is good because I'll be very close to 40 within the next few pounds!! I think it's really dependent on your insurance. I am a wreck I can't stop thinking about it. I'm only on my first month, if I don't have sleep apnea I'll be stuck
