ShelterDog64 2,364 Posted September 8, 2016 It definitely gets easier! The first week sucked, quite frankly...the swelling is overwhelming your stomach and just getting enough Fluid to support your body is difficult. My surgery was 6/21 and other than the restriction I feel when eating, it's like I never had surgery. Hang in there, it does get much, much better! Congratulations on getting your surgery, you're on the loser's bench now
sweetcin 110 Posted September 8, 2016 (edited) I feel for you, honey. I was in the same boat! I am now 2 years post op and loving my life! For the first 10 days I was miserable and hated my decision. Everyone on this site was amazing and told me it would get better. They were right! It gets better hang in there! I found that chewing or sucking on ice chips helped get some Water down and also, making Popsicles with the flavored Protein helped me to get it down.
