Ebony Rose 133 Posted September 7, 2016 I'm stressing about my 4 week pre-op diet. It's a long time to be on Meal Replacements. I have fears that I won't sick to the diet abd I won't ready for the operation. What if this means I won't be successful after the surgery because I can't do 4 weeks of shakes? So many negative thoughts. If you have any advice or willing to share your experience, I'd love to hear.

rebecca wills 190 Posted September 7, 2016 The pre-op is to shrink your liver so it is lighter and smaller for their to be less complications during surgery. Visualize the doctor accidentally nicking your spleen, because they couldn't see past your liver. I did that, and it made that broth, ice pops and Protein shakes taste fine. It's only a couple of days and once your on the other side of surgery you will find the weeks fly by so fast. Your so thrilled with the changes in your body you stop obsessing on what you can't have. In fact, my day fly's so fast I realize I didn't get all my Protein in. I'm almost 3 months in and lost 36 lbs and eating normal food again all be it tiny portions.
