luv2bslim 0 Posted September 6, 2016 Hello! I had the band about 7 years ago and the sleeve in Tijuana about 3 years ago. I have been a very slow loser with the sleeve and can't seem to get rid of these last 30-40 pounds. I'm considering having the Mini Gastric Bypass later this year. I can't find a bunch of information anywhere else, so I thought some of you may be willing to share your experiences and your weight loss. I am willing to consider Juarez or Tijuana. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you in advance!
FloraBama Girl 116 Posted September 17, 2016 Google Dr. Rutledge. He has a ton of YouTube videos on MGB. I was a sleeve to MGB and my weight has been going down since surgery on July 28. My sleeve was not successful either. I used BariactricPal MX for my surgery in Tijuana.< /p>
Suzamundo 51 Posted September 18, 2016 FloraBama - I see it's only been a few months but are you happy with the revision so far? I am going for a sleeve revision Tuesday. Although I lost with the sleeve, I stopped losing way short of goal and am now slowly regaining. I'm torn between MGB and regular bypass. Thoughts? luv2bslim 0 Posted September 18, 2016 Yes, what is the weight loss so far? Would you do it again?
FloraBama Girl 116 Posted September 19, 2016 I would recommend the MGB for less surgery time and less complications. It has gotten rid of my acid reflux and I am losing weight again. With the sleeve I had easy regain and couldn't pay to lose any of it. I measured food, lifted weights, did cardio and would lose nothing. I am at 203having regained to 239. So I have lost 36 pounds since the start of the revision process. I would be losing more but I have a bad knee that swells and hurts when I exercise. When I get below 200 I will see about getting my knee fixed. It is bone on bone.
mb_11 6 Posted October 10, 2016 I am also interested in the MGB. I thought I would be getting the RNY but the MGB was suggested to me. Now to start all the research on that!
FloraBama Girl 116 Posted October 10, 2016 Goggle Dr. Rutledge. He is the original doctor that developed the MGB. He has a lot of YouTube video.
