catwoman7 11,220 Posted September 6, 2016 I know estrogen is stored in fat and sometimes people have hormone dumps the first couple of months since they're losing weight so fast. Might be related to that. But if you're worried, call your doctor.
madadams 130 Posted September 6, 2016 Rapid weight loss can cause amenorrhoea. It's normal. Unless you could be pregnant don't worry. Your body will adjust itself. Sent from my SM-G935F using the BariatricPal App

kjones1 14 Posted September 7, 2016 Same here ... I'm only 8 days late. Pre-surgery, it was not uncommon for me to be early or late, but for the past year, I had gotten fairly regular.
zenlifelove 0 Posted September 22, 2016 I'm 3 years out and still have weird periods. At least once a year I miss an entire month like I just did in August. However, I must say, since having the surgery, my periods are beautiful. Really light and only lasting 4-6 days unlike before where it would last for 2 weeks and be really heavy. The only thing I feel now more are the cramps which I never did before.
Renee2016 1 Posted September 24, 2016 I had my surgery 8/29/16 and I started my cycle last weekend and it was very painful, I've never had cramps like that before. I hope it don't continue, my cycle usually last only 3 days however this time it went the full 5 days. o00 494 Posted September 24, 2016 I had mine four days after surgery. It wasn't the best timing. Never have missed any periods since. Now the hormonal cravings are back in full force. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
