Yes!!! Especially at night.

Yes, definitely. It's not as pronounced for me at 8 weeks, though.

Before WLS, I was always hot and sweaty. Now, I am always freeeezing. I wear tank tops as a base layer almost every day, even in the summer. In the winter, I wear long johns or tights under my pants. I am perpetually one season colder than everyone else.

Cold all the time! Just not enough "meat on my bones" anymore!

Definitely! Along with having to buy a new set of clothes, I purchased a floor heater for work. I've worked here for over 25 years and always had a fan because I'd break into sweat at the drop of a hat. Never had a need for a heater.

Now the fan is rusting unused and the floor heater is being worked to death. Like night and day.

The idea of not being hot and sweaty all the time is one of the things I'm most excited about with surgery. My family feels like we live in a refridgerator because I have to keep it at 68 degrees year round or I sit around and sweat. They will love not being cold all the time!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
