LipstickLady 25,682 Posted September 29, 2016 In all fairness, it's really NOT a taco unless it includes a fried corn shell. Yes, Americanized, it can be a soft flour or soft corn, but my reply was based on the TRUE definition of a taco. There really is a difference. Oh I know-a taco is all about the crunch. But this was almost just as good..... almost Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App It looked good! I love ranch on a "taco" "salad". Throw some avocado chunks in that and it would be perfect.
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted September 29, 2016 My new "taco salad" recipe is a spoonful each of black Beans, corn, avocado, browned ground beef, cheese', and black olives. Top it with a bit of sour cream (or ranch) and enjoy! Not a taco, not a salad', but it's a better substitute, IMO.
leebick 448 Posted September 29, 2016 I, unfortunately, enjoy the lettuce the most. Sometimes, all I'd have would be lettuce (mix of iceberg and romaine) and cheese, with Cesar dressing. I'll manage...
kimini 175 Posted September 29, 2016 I also love the satisfying crunch of lettuce and other veggies (mmmm, cucumber!!)I also love the way we've turned a taco post into a salad post. Where to next?

Talk to your doctor, but also try drinking Powerade Zero to help with electrolyte replacement.
