Yes, my concentration at times is not great again, and my fuse is shorter too. Could be also due to my ongoing insomnia, due to the hyper state.

I was glad I had few boxes of Beta Blockers left, as they helped with my racing pulse and higher blood pressure.

I certainly don't feel as bad as I did prior my RAI, lot of past troublesome symptoms disappeared, but insomnia, some irritability, sweats, bad headaches and few shakes came back.

I too hope that whatever range will show up on Thursday, I will get adjusted treatment for that.

So, it is a learning curve, and we need to be vigilant and monitor our symptoms and blood tests during the weight-loss process.

Let me know how you go, please.

OK, so I saw my Endo today. She did not recognise me! LOL :) Last time I saw her was 3 months ago, and I have lost lot of weight since.

She noticed my shakes, saw I had higher blood pressure and racing pulse again, and I told her how I can't fall asleep and my sweats are back, and those awful headaches.

My blood test results showed Hyper-thyroid again, as I thought.

So, I am to stop my 100mcg Thyroxine(Synthroid) for a week. Yay!

Then, a week later take 50mcg of Thyroxine daily, so my dose has halved.

I hope this will make me feel better.

I also have to go back on daily Beta Blockers again, to slow down my heart and lower my blood pressure.

I have to keep having 6 weekly blood tests, and see how I go.

I still have more weight to lose, so need to be monitored closely.

I am looking forward to sleeping again.

Did you have to crush your thyroxine after surgery or just continue taking whole?

according to my endo.....just the amount of Synthroid that you take may have to go down....just because your body mass is reduce it should take less medication to get the same result.....other than that weight loss doesn't impact it.

No, I did not have to crush it post op. They are very small and slippery tablets, so I had no issues with it post op. Took it with bit of Water.

Yes, this med is weight sensitive. We deal with kilos here, so my Endo said that to calculate the amount, usually it is 1mcg per each kg. Since I keep losing weight, the dose needs to be reduced for me, as I get bad side-effects, and feel I have Graves Disease and being hyper all over again.

So, this is my second reduction. I started on 100mcg daily, 3 months later I was skipping one dose each Sunday morning.

And in the past few weeks I have been feeling progressively worse, so my dose got lowered again.

I actually got so desperate with not sleeping, that I took my old anti-thyroid med, Carbimazole for 3 days, and I finally slept.

yes, definitely by losing weight, the body mass reduces, and so the original dose becomes too strong, and needs to be adjusted and regularly monitored, until reach and maintain goal weight.

I had a week off Thyroxine, re-started it today on 50mcg.

Still feel hot, started to sleep bit better. Headaches are less frequent, and not as nasty.

My blood pressure is still doing cart-wheels, so I have to remain on Beta Blockers for a while yet ....

My hyper-thyroid state made me feel very tired.

Have about 24 Ibs to lose for my stretch goal. Hopefully then I can remain on a stable dose without any nasty side-effects.
