KenKen_vsg 87 Posted September 4, 2016 I'm 3 days post-op and I can barely sleep at night. Is this normal? I'm sooo over chicken broth has any tried veggie broth? Is it better?
AMJK79 34 Posted September 4, 2016 Yes it is completely normal. I'm two weeks post op and I don't sleep well at all because I normally sleep on my stomach but I can't get comfortable because it's still too sore in my abdomen. I too was so sick of chicken broth. When you get to liquid stage 2 you can have creamy Tomato Soup or any other liquid Soup as long as there aren't any pieces in it. Hang in there. It does get better. Don't even worry about your Protein intake just yet. Just focus on getting your liquid in.

G33kg1rl 36 Posted September 4, 2016 I'm a vegetarian, so I've been drinking veggie broth. I think it's pretty good, but I also think they mostly use the same spices that are used in chicken broth, so it might not be much of a change for you.
Raynbolite 302 Posted September 4, 2016 Cream Soups, avoid lumps...but that got me through the first 2wks. Just don't over do it, it fills you up much faster than broth. broth got really old for me too. I feel your pain, hang in there.
