Hello Everyone My name Crystal ❤️

I was sleeve in July 2013 I am now 3 years out. Have lost a total of 95lbs but in the last year have gained 35lbs. I seemed to have had no restriction at least in my mind. I honestly recently after having tons of test including a upper GI scan tell me my pouch was fine. It had not stretched there was nothing wrong with it. So I have to face my self and reevaluate what I have been doing. After doing a real hard look at what I ate day to day and what has transpired in my

Life the last year. I was able to recognize that I had stopped following the plan and slipped back into emotional unhealthy eating. I was no longer measuring, and was not exercising like I should. So in desperate sea have for help I started to search the net, I saw where there were many who have don't the pouch reset in which you go back too the big inning stages of you gastric journey Clear liquids purée food etc.

I wS wondering if any of you have had a similar experience and also have you tried this sleeve reset if so what were your results ?

i actually bought the book for the 5 Day Pouch Test and it's pretty good. i haven't REALLY done it yet, did just 2 days but it was pretty good.

i too need to get back on track. i have gained about 20 lbs in the past several months and need to get re-focused too. i'm also seeing a new doc and nut in 12 days which i think will help.

I think instead of doing liquids when you are not going to use any of the restriction you have anyway. It is better to just do dense Proteins. Steak, chicken breast, pork chops. You are going to feel your restriction and be more satisfied.

I too gained 20 lbs. with a cruise, etc. I have struggled to get down 10 lbs. recently, and have gone back to shakes and one small meal a day. It has helped.

What sort of thing are you having for your meal, may I ask? Also on average how many shakes would you be having? amount of Protein in them...

I've been trying this, but my blood sugar went too low, so I succumbed to eating some carbs :( That was yesterday afternoon I've been feeling it difficult to get back into since..

Abletocope, the shakes have 30 or more grams of Protein. Last nights dinner was four meatballs. One Apple for a snack. Usually I have vegetables. Nutritionally I am not doing great, but I hope to get better as I ask questions and follow the smart people here. I am 70, and do not work out. I swim and walk.

Strange as it may seem - I've never considered having meatballs - that would certainly work for us here :) Thanks for the idea. I don't really work out either - though I do have a treadmill so theres no excuse really - other than there not being enough hours in the day.

I'm in Scotland, so have different shakes available than you guys have - I've got two right now -one small bottle thats 20g in it and one 50g in it - its kinda big though so need to space that one out. I do have a powdered one too - I usually make that up in the morning with unsweetened almond milk.

A good idea is to make mini meatballs in a muffin tin. I have seen recipes for chicken meatballs too. If you have Pinterest online, seek out the Bariatric REcipes. Great inspiration!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
