@@alemapsept15 stick with us and we will help get you through it. A few of us are on Monday. This will be a tough hurdle to accomplish, but if we stay the track and do the program that is laid out for us the weight will come off! Eat smart and exercise and we will be fine. As far as sleep, look at what is at the end of the road, a slimmer, healthier person than the person you have been.

I'm excited, but will get nervous the day of. Let us know how we can assist you.

I had to set my alarm for every 2hs to make sure I don't forget to eat. I read somewhere never allow yourself to get hungry. I'm going to have a problem because I don't like Jello or pudding. I forgot about the pop icons and could use something sweet right now. I think it's just boredom. I'm pooping like crazy .

Setting the alarm is the right thing to do. I literally had to write out a chart on a huge oak tag and check off everything I have to drink and take. It kept me honest and accountable to myself and way easy to pass through the week. So, good job and good luck.

alemapsept15 you are among friends. I'm nervous as heck but keep reminding myself the outcome is far greater than my current reality. We only have 7days left

Hi

Thanks again for recommending the baritastic app. It's my saving grace. I use it everyday religiously and it keeps count of everything. I don't know where I would be without it. Thanks a million.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
