anthonyb 30 Posted September 6, 2016 Well for me. I fit in clothes that I never did before. So I have a small amount of fashion sense now. I'm back to being athletic again and playing some sports When I go get a drink and get ID'd I get complimented. Negatives. I hate food. Dating still sucks. Hollyhock 62 Posted September 6, 2016 @ Thanks for the support! I know I'm bitching a lot. What frustrates me most is the lack of support from the first program. It is good to hear that you found your way out of the medical labyrinth. Good for you for hanging in there! I'm so happy to hear that you were able to overcome the thyroid problem and move forward in your life. I will, too. I was very excited at my last three visits to have actually dropped weight consecutively, even small amounts. That has not happened for at least two decades! It was so weird to be told, "Congratulations, you are doing really well, and you're doing so well we have to stop seeing you and hope you find a new place." I look forward to being able to simply post my joy at being able to do things I love again like hiking, running and almost every kind of dance. Also, tying my shoes. I'll even be able to go shopping IN MY OWN CLOSET!
DebSmiles 62 Posted September 6, 2016 @@LipstickLady You are a beautiful lady! I love your story as it is similar to mine right now. I haven't had surgery yet, but I am in the gym 3-5 days a week, do kickboxing and love to do hikes. I've been pretty healthy except for back pain. A few weeks ago, my knees started aching. I know the years of obesity are starting to take a toll. I hope to have surgery in January, though I wish it was sooner. Thanks for sharing your story. You are an inspiration

Healthy_life2 8,324 Posted September 6, 2016 At 254 I struggled with health issues, I was not a happy person on the inside. I was a couch potato. I had given up on myself. I spent 8 days in the hospital with Diabetic ketoacidosis. My internal organs systematically shut down. I was resuscitated after my heart stopped. I needed to get my health and my life back in order. I decided to have weight loss surgery. At 135 I'm happy and in great health. I learned to forgive myself for many things to move on. I am honest with who I am and what I want out of life. Its an amazing place to be. Whats new now? Getting out and living life! I'm an adrenaline junkie Checking items off my bucket list. I was asked to take over new job responsibilities at work. I instruct fitness for senior citizens. ( I'm working on my personal trainer certification) I'm competitive in my old age (48years). I've been distance running for a while. I have two years to get in shape for the senior games in Boise. My goal is to be a bad ass old fart.
