looks like you're moving along well! The time and weight loss do go fast - I can't believe it's been 15 months for me!

Be patient - you will keep losing. You'll have periods of time where it seems to have stopped, but have faith.

I was sleeved at Fair Oaks, have not made a single support group, obviously pre-op classes were done. But, I have not been available on 3rd Monday, wondering if anyone in VA goes somewhere else....

@@DiannVolvo, Congrats on your goal weight, very inspiring!

You'll get there. Took me a year to get to 140. I'm now 121. You're moving along nicely. It's a journey and a little different for everyone.

How far along is everyone? I had gastric bypass on July 16, 2014 at Fair Oaks and I live in Woodbridge. So just over 2 years ago. I was 244 the day of surgery and I had lost 21 lbs. I have gotten to my lowest of 143 but my body seems to feel more comfortable around 146-147.

@check your during that time I was very sick. I had a very hard time with my surgery. Had to go on every about month and a half for an endoscopy to get stricture opened up. It was awful. At this point my life and life changes are my new normal. I don't even think about the way I eat or drink as being "because of surgery" anymore, it is just my new life norm. I have become very active and that is an awesome thing. Where do you live?

Alexandria city happy that really have had no complications other than having to go off blood thinner earlier due to mild bleeding

My biggest challenge is days when I can't keep a regular schedule and food routine. Like i walk more and easily get my Water when I'm in office because it is a set place and schedule. But I have had to go out more or my weekends have been all over the place so I am trying to stay vigilant in tracking food. I do have to admit to having to eyeball a 2 oz Portion from time to time though but I think I have done well. What about you were you a tracker/weigher then or now?

I used to track vigilantly but not anymore. I should probably pick it up because I gained a few pounds.

I have gone back and forth on 1.5lb this week so no real change trying not to think about it and keep moving!!!

Did anyone find that muscle weight gain made it challenging to see some loss? I have been focusing on work out and see loss of inches but weight is hovering at not moving.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
